well this is the end, I've had enough of blogging and will go on to something more constructive. I am very excited about my next project (it's still under construction--- a pile of rubble to say the least, and will stay that way for about another 3-6 months). Maybe one day I'll start this up again, very unlikely though.

quite simply. making everything look the way you want it to and hoping and blocking out possible/ whole ugly truths where possible.

When Greek gods are actually dignified, emotionally heavy, somewhat just beings. Not sodomising, orgy-party people.

Where mermaids do exist.

Where hot chocolate and a cinnamon roll does cure all problems permanently. It works for a while then you feel like crap and eat more and get fat.

Where history did play out exactly like in the movies. It was such a shocker when I found out that Shakespeare wrote with a quill sans the feather. So it was a plain stick. I thought it the feather added so much to the costume drama aspect of historical fiction movies.

Somewhere deep in the jungle there is a real El Dorado.

Where there is true love minus the looks and financial stability part. According to a featured article I read on yahoo,they did a study and it really boils down to the basics. Men go for looks and women go for the financial stability. I guess it may be true and I might even innately be drawn to someone via those principles. But I think it's just awful that what seems so out of this world and unconditional, is really-- very conditional.

yes i am a romantic/ i.e escape artist. And I think I will have a lot of problems coming my way because of this.

So now the applications are complete. I feel better but I'm still having sleepless nights with Uchicago's "life of the mind" under my pillow.

But I've been kept relatively sober with these little guys around.

This picture totally screams VOGUE YOU. He looks strangely like Elton John in this one, his light hair really doesn't help either. But that smile is so cute. He actually said "like bug" when he took of the shades and took a good look at them.

I like this picture of Beaver, the colour of the kiwis and the blue of the plate make it look just about colourful enough (notice there are 2 spoons :), we had a kiwi picnic).

and there're the Nilos, who make me very happy and very tired. They make cache cache seem like an olympic sport.

and most recently, the Petersen kids.

Ana (full name Latiana) is so adorable. She'd make such a good Gap, Guess or Esprit kid model.

and there's Tanner who claims to have a lot of girlfriends. Nicole being his favourite one in the ward (hah!).

Being around kids keeps me so sane.

For one, they make things look so easy. Like as if morphing into a butterfly is the most normal thing in the world.

Two, they say things that are so true sometimes and so poignant "just say a prayer and everything will be ok chloe"- Beverly.

Three, they can be so funny. "Why did Jesus make your legs so fat mommy"- Markie.

Four, they make you feel like the best person in the world "don't go chloe!"/"why?"/"because i LOVE you"- Markie.

If I stayed 7 forever, maybe I'd be a lot smarter and more confident than I am right now. "I WILL KILL ALL THE BAD GUYS AND THE MILLIPEDES RARRRRHHHH"-Markie.
